Lorenzo Emmanuel Mendez Ronquillo, known as Lorenzo Mendez, is a singer, songwriter, and actor born in Pittsburg, California, on December 15, 1986. He was raised in El Paso, TX, near the border with Cd. Juarez, Chihuahua, which significantly influenced his career in Spanish-language music. Since the age of 7, Lorenzo has performed on various stages across the United States and Mexico. With his parents’ support, he participated in and won several international singing competitions broadcasted on television, including:

  • Festival Del Mariachi (Univision)
  • Gigante De El Mañana (Univision)
  • American Idol (Fox)
  • La Academia (TV Azteca)
  • Objetivo Fama (Univision)

In 2007, Lorenzo was fortunate to win a lottery prize in the Texas Mega Millions, which allowed him to embark on various projects, including recording an album under the guidance of renowned producer and musical director Manuel Cazares. Lorenzo traveled to Mazatlan, Sinaloa, to record his album in the banda genre. While in the recording studio, he met Jose Quiroz, the owner of La Original Banda Limón, who invited him to join the band.

Lorenzo began his artistic career with La Original Banda El Limón, where he was the lead vocalist for nearly 10 years. During his time with the band, he achieved international tours and broke attendance records, including 75,000 people at the Houston Rodeo and 120,000 people at the Zócalo in CDMX. After La Original Banda Limón parted ways with Luz Record, Lorenzo decided to stay with the label that gave him his start and released his debut solo album, «Con Todo Respeto,» in 2020. Later, Lorenzo Mendez became independent, founding his own record label and production company, LM7 Entertainment, which also serves as a publishing and talent representation agency.

Throughout his career, Lorenzo has achieved numerous collaborations, including “Quiubo Compa” with El Yaki, “El Dinero Viene y Va” with Adal Loreto, “Marrano Qui Qui” with Roberto Junior, “La Vida Es Pa´Gozarla” with Nidel Conde, and “Que Te Ha Dado Esa Mujer” with Ezequiel Peña, among others.
